Ik heb nooit gevraagd om een ruil van het apparaat: dat was UZELF die dat heeft aangeboden, net als de uitnodiging om het nogmaals op te sturen. Dat u mij niet geloofd wanneer ik zeg dat ik virus programma's uit heb gezet, evenals ervoor heb gezorgd dat de PC niet in slaapstand gaat tijdens updaten is veelzeggend. Die heb ik tot op heden nog niet ontvangen. had mij nadrukkelijk gezegd om nog niks te doen tot dat zij weer contact zou opnemen met verdere instructies. But he adds, he will be glad to sell me a new one! The nerve!! My next navigation device will NOT be a TomTom, that is one thing for sure! In the end there is this guy (whose name starts with an X), who previously told me to return the system for repair or trade-in for a refurbished device, and who now says it is no use (even though the device is under warranty). After all these months, we have gotten literally nowhere, other than countless precious hours lost. By now, there's a book of notes on this case, but no one following through it is too much too read. Each time you have to start from scratch, and have to listen to their same suggestions that were already followed many times. A problem is also, that you can never get the same rep back on the phone. I have dealt with scores of reps, one or two knowledgable and helpful, most all promises but no expertise.

Their MyDrive Connect software gets stuck in a loop, and multiple times I have spent hours on the phone clearing out anything from the files which might be causing it (that was, when I managed to get the rare rep who really tried to help). The device itself functions well enough, but with so-called "life time updates" one would like to keep things current, and there's the rub. It is still well under guarantee (until March 2020). I paid 159 euro for the Start 62 navigational device, plus 33 for a specific cable. It is Octonow, and since the beginning of March this year I have been dealing with the TomTom support team to help me find out why updates from their software don't complete installation.
